Restaurants on Green Street
- Panda Express : Fast food Chinese restaurant that is seen in a variety of different places. It is a fast food place with a choice of one entrée, two entrees, or three entrees. They have an option of fried rice, rice or noodles. There are a variety of different entrees to choose from that can be customizable in anyway. It is one of the biggest restaurants on campus and it is one of the first restaurants that are seen when visiting the campus. It is located on 627 South Wright Street. Expect to spend around 7-12 dollars. Rank: 7/10
- Panera Bread: A fast-food chain that can be seen in a variety of locations all over the country. It is supposed to incentivize cleaner, healthier food, with the menu including sandwiches, soups, salads and mac and cheese. It is on the expensive side and expect to spend 8-15 dollars. Located on 616 East Green Street. Rate: 8/10
- Subway: A sandwich place located in multiple locations across campus. It is a quick meal that allows the customer to customize sandwiches to their desires. They have a rewards program that incentivizes customers to choose subway. Very packed during the lunch hours, however dies down during dinner time. Expect to spend around 5-9 dollars on a meal. Have sandwich deals every day of the week. Located on 616 East Green Street. Rate: 7.5/10
- McDonald’s: One of the most popular fast food restaurants in the United States. Very cheap fastfood with fast customer service. Usually busy through all times of the day. Furthermore, it is open 24 hours of the day. Also offers delivery. Known for the burgers, however can order breakfast foods and desserts as well. Expect to spend anywhere between 2-10 dollars on a meal depending on what is ordered. Located on : 616 E Green Street Rate:6/10
- Dunkin’ Donuts: As the slogan says, American runs on dunkin, it is one of the premier coffee stores in the country. It serves coffee and is open early morning and closes late at night. It is not as expensive as other coffee places like starbucks. Has a lot of options and easily customizable. Also has a lot of food options such as donuts and bagels. Allows the customer to start their day off with good, cheap coffee. Has many promos such as happy hour that get the customer any medium size coffee for 99 cents. Located on 607 East Green Street. Rate: 7/10
- Chipotle: One of the most popular fast food restaurants in the country. Became very famous a couple years ago when it gave the opportunity for people to customize their own Mexican food. Allows the user to chose 3 bases which include, tacos, a bowl, quesadillas or a burrito. Then it is up to the customer on how they want to customize their food with a variety of different toppings. There are usually no deals, however they do have free chipotle many of the days. Furthermore, guacamole costs over 2 dollars, however it is free with a veggie bowl. It is located on 528 East Green Street. Expect to spend 8-12 dollars. Rate: 8/10
- Noodles and Company: A classic sit-down/fast-food restaurant that is seen around the Midwest area. I am from New Jersey so there are no Noodles and Company over there, so I may be biased about the food. However, they have a variety of noodles from all over the world and can customize it in anyway with a mixture of any types of sauces. Have a lot of promos through their rewards program. Adding meat to the food makes the meal 2-3 dollars more expensive. Located on 528 East Green Street. Expect to spend 7-10 dollars for a meal. Rate: 8/10
- Taco bell: Taco bell just opened this past semester and it is crowded at all times of the day. With the option of having cheap Mexican fast food, allows the business to be available at all times. It is open after bars close so many people go there after bars. There are so many different options that are very affordable that make it a very desirable option for college students. Expect to spend around 3-10 dollars per meal. Can order a lot of different foods for very cheap. Located on 512 East Green Street. Rate: 7/10
- Pizza hut: As the name explains it is one of the many pizza restaurants on campus. It is located on 411 E Green Street. They have a variety of deals and prices depending on how many people want to eat. Anything from a small pan pizza with breadsticks for one person to a deal with 2-3 large pizzas for bigger parties. Expect to spend around 8-15 dollars per person depending on what is ordered. Rating: 6/10
- Burrito King: A very fast food Mexican food. Not busy during the day time, however very busy during the night from the hours of 12-3. It is a popular destination for people who are coming back from bars. Prices are on the upper end and expect to spend over 9 dollars on a meal. New renovations to the restaurant attract more customers. Located on 408 E Green street. Rate: 5/10
- C-U Lala noodles : Another Chinese restaurant on Green Street that has a variety of food. It is authentic Chinese food with a lot of options. It may be confusing at first because the entire menu is in Chinese, however the people are very friendly and cater to each specific dietary restriction. It is located on 410 East Green Street. Expect to spend around 10 dollars. Rate: 6/10
- Bangkok Thai: One of the only thai restaurants on Green Street. A lot of different options with a lot of variety. It is always crowded especially during lunch and dinner time. There are a lot of options such as noodles, curries, soups, salads and appetizers. It is a family owned restaurant that serves authentic Thai food. They are located on 410 East Green Street. Can be expensive depending on how much is ordered, but expect to spend 8-20 dollars. Rate: 9/10
- Sakanaya: It is one of the fancier restaurants on Green Street. This is Japanese food that is on the more expensive side. There are a variety of options to choose from such as sushi, Katsu rolls and a variety of soups and appetizers. It is a very small establishment, with wait times over 20-30 minutes on weekends. Expect to spend anywhere from 10 dollars to 25 dollars. It is located on 403 East Green Street. Rate 10/10
- Four breakfast & More: One of the only breakfast only foods on Green Street. Serves breakfast foods all throughout the day. Open till 3 am so it is good for late night food as well. Allows the customer to choose a variety of breakfast foods from eggs, to panckackes to shakes. Not very busy and can go any time of the day with minimal wait. Expect to spend around 8-10 dollars on a meal. Located on 401 East Green Street. Rate: 5/10
- Chopstix: A fast-food Chinese restaurant that has a variety of different options that makes food very accessible. They are only open from 4 pm – 3 am. The have a variety of different foods and it is a very small carry out Chinese food restaurant. Can order Thai food or Chinese food with noodels or rice. Allow the option for fried rice or brown rice. Very convenient and delivery is only an additional dollar. Many people have had mixed reviews about this place so it is a very hit or miss for most people. Expect to spend around 9-10 dollars on a meal. Located on 202 East Green Street. Rate: 7.5/10
- Papa Johns: Simlar to Pizza hut, one of the many pizza restaurants on Campus. Many deals that go on throughout the year. Especially if chosen Carry out the price drops drastically. There are so many different options, so customization is very possible. Same as pizza hut prices usually around 6-15 dollars per person depending on how much is ordered. Located on
106 E Green St, Champaign, IL 61820. Rating: 7.5/10 - Bombay Indian Grill: It is one of the few Indian restaurants on campus. Have a lot of variety of options to chose from. Everything from a buffet to a regular a la carte meal. A very good choice when craving Indian food, however can be an option that may disappoint people who are accustomed to Indian food. Expect to spend over 10 dollars for a meal. However portions are big so will last more than one meal. Located on: 401 East green Street. Rate 5/10
- Dominos Pizza: Similar to Papa Johns and Pizza hut. Most of these places comes down to a personal preference and what deals are going on at the time for each one. However dominos tries to differentiate themselves from the competitors by making their crust with garlic sauce. Expect to spend 6-15 dollars per meal. Rate: 7/10
