This scene really captures what it should be like to have a movie. It has all of the important aspects that is required to have a fulfilling scene and it encompasses all of the different languages of the movie that Wohl talks about in his article The language of Film.
This movie scene from the Joker really shows what the movie is all about. For all his life, the Joker has looked up to this man, however, he realized that all he has done has made fun of who he is and it really shows his progression into going insane. The shot on this scene really shows both people and who they represent in society. The joker who is not well liked at all and Bill Murray who is consdiderd a very popular well liked person.
The where is also very important because it has always been the Jokers dream to be able to go up on state on the Bill Murray show, however, all Bill did was just make fun of him which made his mental illness that much worse.
This scene had a lot of significance in the movie, as after the Joker killed Bill Murray, chaos was caused all through out the streets of Gotham. This was a pivotal point in the Joker taking control and being known as the villain we know today. After this scene the Joker accepted his role in society and wanted to make sure other people were aware of his beliefs.
